boy was serving LadyHotchKiss today and was sent on an errand to pick up four items. it took boy over an hour and a visit to 4 different stores to find the four items HotchKiss needed. Now, if boy had been shopping for himself and had to pick up four every-day items and had to visit four different stores to find them, boy would have been frustrated to say the least. boy would likely have been angry and fuming, but at the very least extremely frustrated. however, such was not the case today. it didn’t seem to matter to boy. the only thing that mattered was that HotchKiss needed four items and that She had sent boy to get the four items. it didn’t matter what boy had to do to get the four items so long as boy returned with them. and having done so, instead of frustration, boy felt a sense of accomplishment. boy had done what HotchKiss needed done. boy had served his purpose and boy was able to take pride in that instead of frustration. what a revelation!
